Another video about groups! The timing of it coming out just after the previous one is just a coincidence. However, the approach in this one is a bit different, it being made as part of the ‘Mistakes we make in thinking’ series. The intended audience is wider, so it’s not framed in terms of Middle Way Philosophy but in terms of avoiding cognitive errors, drawing on psychology and critical thinking.
Very professional talk, clearly delivered and nicely illustrated throughout. Threw up lots of helpful ideas about my own relationship to the groups to which I belong: how I can derive more benefit from them, contribute more effectively, and help grow their usefulness on the broader canvas of human affairs.
I think the circle of strategies (and their interrelationship with each other) is particularly helpful, and a great starting point for any new group that is thinking of forming up.
